Lagertha the Viking Fierce Shield Maiden

Lagertha was a Viking shield–maiden and ruler from what is now Norway, and the onetime wife of the famous Viking Ragnar Lodbrok. Her tale was recorded by the chronicler Saxo in the 12th century.
