Facts About Minions – Minions Love Bananas

Despicable Me 2 is one of the biggest movies of all-time. It’s the fourth biggest animated film of all-time behind ‘ Frozen ’, ‘ Toy Story 3 ’ and ‘ The Lion King ’. So what are some mind-blowing facts about minions?

1. The appearance of the minions was inspired partially by the Jawas from Star Wars and also by Oompa Loompas from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
2. All of the minions who play important parts in the movies have male names.
3. A third Despicable Me film has been confirmed.
It will be released in the summer of 2017.
4. Each minion has one of five hairstyles.
5. Minions only have three fingers.
6. Minions can survive in outer space.
They resist freezing and don’t need to breath oxygen.
7. In the first movie, the minions have slightly crooked teeth. In the second, they’re aligned.
8. Chiquita Banana created more than one billion stickers for their bananas to promote Despicable Me 2.
9. Minions are now the official Illumination Entertainment mascot.
10. The language minions speak is a mix of French, English, Italian, and Spanish with a bit of Korean and Russian thrown in.
11. A blimp in the shape of a minion was created to promote Despicable Me 2.
12. The movies creators said that the minions were written into Despicable Me to make Gru more likable.
13. The minions in the first film are voiced by the directors of the movie, Chris Renaud and Pierre Coffin.
14. Evil minions are purple because purple and yellow are on opposite sides of the color spectrum.
15. The minions are getting their own movie.

17. In the first film, there were really only seven well know main and notable minions that names are mentioned by Gru and has a big part which are: Dave, Stuart, Kevin, Jerry, Tim, Mark and Phil.
18. Their existence as artificial beings is noted by the final schematics in the little girls’ room. Minions are possibly made from humans by the Minionizer, a ray gun that turns humans into Minions, as seen inDespicable Me: Minion Mayhem at Universal Studios.
This is generally considered as non-canon (or just something Gru invented for the express purpose of the ride). One of the short films suggests they are made from a single strand of mutated DNA.
19. According to Pierre Coffin, there are over 899 minions. In the theatrical poster of the second film, it shows that there are at least 10,400 minions.
