a cat always lands on it’s feet, and it only takes it a second or two to do so.

My cat falls off the bed sometimes and definitely does not land on his feet. It is hilarious but I love him.

  2. I have for sure seen a cat land on its back and walk away really messed up

  3. I guess I’ve just had retarded cats, because they always fell and seldom on their feet.

It would be cool if that were true, we have an anecdote of a cat (she’s been seen landing on her back a few times).

I know a cat that managed to break his legs multiple times by falling off the couch

I had a cat for almost 8 years that a friend did some testing with. He would hold the lil guy upside down less than 2 inches off the ground, and that lil bugger would flip and land on his feet about 85% of the time lol

Did you know that squirrels can survive a fall from any height? They land on their feet too, and use a similar method. Except they succeed maybe a little more often than cats (cats seem a little less agile) and it only takes squirrels milliseconds to land the right way.

Not when tboned by another cat

  11. I’m trying to imagine the muscles from laying down to jumping more than the cats length up in the air.

  12. Well would you rather land on your head ???

I remember a girl in elementary school who did a science fair project about this. She held one of her cats upside down only a few inches off the floor and let go. The cat landed on its feet. Amazing.

Toast always lands butter side down so can we ask op to try an experiment, tie a slice of buttered toast to the cats back and drop her to see which if she either lands on her feet, the toast or just spins in mid air as both forces fight against each other.

Be nicer if the vid wasn’t made in slo-motion for the dramatic effect. Kinda takes away from it.
