This year is the 40th anniversary of the release of Steven Spielberg’s “ Jaws. ” Not only did “ Jaws ” essentially create the summer blockbuster, it also made people terrified of the water for a long, long time.

A series of screenings of the classic film put on by the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema won’t do anything to assuage those fears because audience members will watch the film while sitting in inner tubes on a lake.

The screenings are being held on the man-made lake at the Texas Ski Ranch located between Austin and San Antonio. A ticket is $30 and includes an inner tube.

The second Jaws on the water’ screening will be held on a man-made lake at Texas Ski Ranch, which has sandy beaches sloping down into the water and “plenty of satellite bars around the location to keep your thirst quenched all night long – including some special floating bars that you can swim up to”.

As if all this saturnalia wasn’t enough, there will also be fish tacos on sale and specials on Dos Equis cans.
